With the warmer weather comes the heat and humidity. One of the reasons we love Kansas City right? There are some options to control curl and prevent frizzies. A decade ago the Japanese strightening systems were all the rage but there could be serious complications if the stylists made any errors. The most common complication was breakage of the hair right where the treatment was on the hair. One prominant salon in Chicago got into serious trouble over breaking a bunch of socialites hair off. Flash forward to today however and the systems to straighten hair are much better for the hair than before. We also have choices as to whether we want to defrizz, straighten out the curl a little, turn the curly hair into wavy hair or go to a completely straight look. There is actually an organic version  using an Amaranth protein that doesn't have animal protein, formaldehyde, sodium hydroxide or thioglycate (used in perms). So if your goal is to change your look a little while making it weather proof this could be a great option and still another way to stay on trend.
