ROCKET AND TERESA’S $20,000 WEDDING MARCH
The Rocket and Teresa Show and Balano Fine Jewelers have teamed up for the $20,000 Wedding March!
1. HOW TO WIN
a. At least one (1) person from each couple must show up to the Wendy’s located at 152 North Oak Trafficway in Kansas City, Missouri at 6:00am.
b. Contestants will then walk from the Wendy’s to Balano’s located at 111 Northwest Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64155.
c. As the march is going on, there will be a reverse lottery in which each name called out is no longer in the running leaving the last person standing the winner of the contest and the Grand Prize.
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The contest is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the Kansas City Metro. Employees of WILKS BROADCAST KANSAS CITY, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Kansas City metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are not eligible to participate or win.
b. Winner must sign a Wilks Broadcast Winner Release form.
3. PRIZES
a. The Winner and guest will receive:
· A women’s 2 karat diamond ring valued at $12,500 from Balano Fine Jewelers
· A men’s wedding band valued at $350 from Balano’s
· Photographer from Gregg Photography for $2,500.
· $150 men’s tux from Men’s Warehouse
· Salon Oasis $500 bride’s day spa package
· Limo valued at $400.
· Flowers from Floral Dynasty for $500
· Staley Farms reception hall for $1,500
· $2,000 honeymoon cruise from Comfort Tours
· $200 engagement dinner for 2 at Pier Ponts
· 2 hours of DJ Kirby for $1,000
b. Note: There will be no cash buyouts or exchanges for any of the prizes. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Wilks Broadcast Kansas City management will have complete discretion with respect to any decision or interpretation relating to the contest, and any decision or interpretation adopted by Wilks Broadcast Kansas City or its management relating to the contest shall be final, conclusive and binding.
b. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.
c. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form on site after winning.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, recorded voice, likeness, and biographical material used in any promotional, advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, any advertisers or sponsors associated with this contest and their products and services, Wilks Broadcast Kansas City (and its licensee, corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates), or any Wilks Broadcast radio station, without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, Wilks Broadcast Kansas City in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold Wilks Broadcast Kansas City, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. Wilks Broadcast Kansas City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of Wilks Broadcast Kansas City, the $20, 000 Wedding March delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, Wilks Broadcast Kansas City reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of Wilks Broadcast Kansas City.
f. Wilks Broadcast Kansas City is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of Wilks Broadcast Kansas City, 4717 Grand Ave, Suite 600, Kansas City, MO 64117.

WINNER WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRIZE FULFILLMENT PROCESS AND MAY HAVE TO SIGN DOCUMENTATION, SUCH AS A RELEASE , IN SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BELOW, OR PRIZE MAY BE FORFEITED. ALL TRAVEL FOR THE TRIP PRIZE THAT INCLUDES TICKETS TO THE ADVANCE SCREENING MUST BE COMPLETED ON SPECIFIC DATES SET FORTH BELOW AND IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND SUBSTITUTION.
1. Sponsor and Eligibility: Rocket and Teresa’s $20,000 Wedding March Contest is sponsored by The Rocket and Teresa Show on KMXV Mix 93.3, Balano Fine Jewelers and Wilks Broadcasting located at 508 Westport Road, Kansas City, Missouri. 64111 and open only to legal residents of the Kansas City Metropolitan Areawho are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, members and managers of Sponsor, prize providers, Paramount Pictures Corporation and each of their respective subsidiaries, parent, affiliated companies, licensors, distributors, divisions, advertising agencies, promotional partners associated with this Contest (collectively, with Sponsor, “Contest Entities” or each a “Contest Entity”), and relatives of and those living in the same household assuch employees are not eligible to enter or win the Prize (as defined below). For the purpose of this Contest, relatives are defined as spouse, mother, father, parental in-laws, legal guardian, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children, and grandchildren. Void where prohibited.
2. How to Enter: To enter, simply show up at the starting location of the contest
You must provide all required information on the Entry Form, which may include, without limitation, your full name and the full name of your partner, the birthdates of you and your partner, email addresses, and home addresses for both you and your partner. The Web Site’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Contest. Entries must be received by Sponsor during the Contest Period, or they will be VOID. For purposes of this Contest, an entry will be “received” by Sponsor when the Web Site’s servers record the entry information upon clicking the final “Submit” or similar button. Proof of sending (such as an automated computer receipt confirming entry or “thanks for entering” message or screen) does not constitute proof of actual receipt of an entry for purposes of this Contest. Entrants who do not abide by these Official Rules and provide all of the required information on the Entry Form will be disqualified. Entries will not be returned or acknowledged. Entries that are forged, altered, garbled or generated by a macro, bot, or other automated meanswill not be accepted and will be void. Entries must be made by an individual only. Group entries or entries made by an entity are prohibited. Entries made by any other individual or any entity, and/or originating at any other web site, including, without limitation, commercial contest subscription notification and/or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Contest. Limit one (1) entry per couple and per e-mail address for the entire Contest.
3. Selection and Notification of Winners:

Announcement and publication of Contest Winner’s name, Photograph or other information is subject to Sponsor’s sole discretion and Sponsor has no obligation to do so. Sponsor reserves the right to publicly display winners and non winners possibly along with biographical information.
Contest Winner may be required to complete, sign, notarize (if applicable), and return, without alteration and in the form presented by Sponsor, an affidavit of eligibility, liability/publicity release (except where prohibited by law) and tax forms (if applicable) (collectively, the “Contest Winner Documents”), according to Sponsor’s instructions within 5 days from the date Sponsor sent the Contest Winner Documents. Failure to comply with these requirements, Sponsor’s instructions or these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest and forfeiture of any prize potentially won, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Contest Winner Documents are each subject to verification by Sponsor.
[Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, require any participant to also complete, sign, and return additional releases and other forms in the form provided by Sponsor within the time frame specified by Sponsor to win a prize in this Contest.] By entering the contest, you agree to comply with any of Sponsor’s requests for further permissions, documentation, and signatures. If any winner notification or Contest-related communication is faulty, rejected or returned as undeliverable or if a participant cannot be reached after a reasonable attempt has been made by Sponsor (as determined in its sole discretion), that participant may, in Sponsor's sole discretion, be disqualified and an alternate Contest Winner, as applicable, may be selected.
4. Prizes, Quantity and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): One (1) Grand Prizewill be awarded to will be awarded to the participant who is the last standing after all other names have been called in the reverse lottery, subject to verification. The Grand Prize consists of: (i) A women’s 2 karat diamond ring valued at $12,500 from Balano Fine Jewelers (ii), a men’s wedding band valued at $350 from Balano’s, (iii) Photographer from Gregg Photography for $2,500, (iv) $150 men’s tux from Men’s Warehouse, (v) Salon Oasis $500 bride’s day spa package, (vi) Limo valued at $400, (vii) flowers from Floral Dynasty for $500, (viii) Staley Farms reception hall for $1,500, (ix) $2,000 honeymoon cruise from Comfort Tours, (x) $200 engagement dinner for 2 at Pier Ponts, (xi) 2 hours of DJ Kirby for $1,000. The total ARV of Grand Prize is $21,600.00 at the time of publishing these Official Rules.
All expenses and costs related to acceptance and use of the trip portion of the Grand Prize not expressly listed above, including, but not limited to, meals, beverages, hotel taxes, travel insurance, in-room charges, bag check fees, merchandise, souvenirs, and gratuities are entirely the Grand Prize winner’s responsibility. Grand Prize winner and his/her guest must have all necessary identification and/or travel documents required for travel. Grand Prize winner and his/her guest must travel on same itinerary. Grand Prize winner's guest must also complete a Liability and Publicity Release prior to issuance of travel documents. Failure to comply with any of these conditions or the return of prize documents as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of prize, without compensation. In the event that the $20,000 Wedding March is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason, in which event that portion of prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided except as in Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual costs of any prize are less than the estimate made in these Official Rules. The Grand Prize is subject to Sponsor’s terms and conditions generally applicable thereto. Additional Grand Prize award details to be provided to Grand Prize winner at the time of Grand Prize notification. Grand Prize winners are solely responsible for obtaining any form of insurance needed at their option and hereby acknowledge that Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide any form of insurance. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. There will be no cash buyout or exchanges for any of the prizes.
ADDITIONAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER RULES: If the winner of the Grand Prize is unable to use the Grand Prize on the date he or she scheduled to use it and approved by Sponsor, Grand Prize may be forfeited. Grand Prize winner agrees that his/her guests must each comply with Sponsor’s and each prize providers’ procedures and policies and may be required to complete sign, have notarized (where applicable) and return a release of liability and, where legal, a publicity release to Sponsor in the timeframe specified by Sponsor or participation may not be allowed. By entering this Contest and accepting the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize winner agrees to maintain his/her behavior in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices in connection with participation in any Contest or prize-related activity. The Grand Prize winner understands and agrees that Sponsor or any prize provider has the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove the winner and/or any guest from any activity at any time if the winner or a guest’s behavior at any point is uncooperative, disruptive, or may or does cause damage to person, property, or the reputation of Sponsor or any prize provider or otherwise violates the policies of the prize providers.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY/INDEMNITY: EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASED PARTIES FOR ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR INJURIES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE, ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, MISUSE OR AWARDING OF THE PRIZE, WHILE PREPARING FOR, PARTICIPATING IN AND/OR TRAVELING TO OR FROM ANY PRIZE- OR CONTEST-RELATED ACTIVITY INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY INJURY, DAMAGE, DEATH, LOSS, OR ACCIDENT TO PERSON OR PROPERTY. EACH WINNER AGREES THAT THE PRIZE WON IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, WHETHER NOW KNOWN OR HEREINAFTER ENACTED, RELATIVE TO THE USE OR ENJOYMENT OF THE PRIZE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
EACH ENTRANT UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT ALL RIGHTS UNDER SECTION 1542 OF THE CIVIL CODE OF CALIFORNIA AND ANY SIMILAR LAW OF ANY STATE, PROVINCE OR TERRITORY OF THE UNITED STATES ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVED BY HIM/HER. SECTION 1542 READS AS FOLLOWS:
“CERTAIN CLAIMS NOT AFFECTED BY A GENERAL RELEASE. A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE, WHICH IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR.”
6. ADDITIONAL DISCLAIMERS: Released Parties are not responsible and/or liable for any of the following, whether caused by a Released Party, the entrant, or by human error: any lost, late, incomplete, illegible, garbled, mutilated, or misdirected entries, e-mail, mail, or Contest-related correspondence or materials or postage-due mail; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission or communication; viruses or technical or mechanical malfunctions; interrupted or unavailable cable or satellite systems; errors, typos, or misprints in these Official Rules, in any Contest-related advertisements or other materials; failures of electronic equipment, computer hardware or software; lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications or entry information. Released Parties are not responsible for electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in entrant’s e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. Contest Entities are not responsible, and may disqualify you, if your e-mail address or other contact information does not work or if it is changed without prior written notice to Sponsor.
Released Parties are not responsible or liable to any entrant or winner or any person claiming through such entrant or winner for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action, regulation, order or request by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action, regulations, order or request proves to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal) labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond the Released Parties’ sole control.
7. GENERAL RULES: By entering the Contest, (except where prohibited by law) entrants consent to the use of their names, pictures, likenesses, voices, biographical data, and/or any information contained in their entry in advertising, promotion and marketing materials throughout the world, including on the internet, by the Contest Entitiesits promotional partners, and third party marketing entities, without additional compensation, notice, review, or approval. Sponsor’s decisions will be final in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prizes. All participants, as a condition of entry, agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from this Contest. Participants further agree to not knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Contest and/or prevent others from using the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void entries of any entrants who Sponsor believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Contest. Sponsor’s failure to or decision not to enforce any provision in these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. In the event there is an alleged or actual ambiguity, discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials and/or these Official Rules (including any alleged discrepancy or inconsistency in these Official Rules), it will be resolved in Sponsor’s sole discretion. If Sponsor determines at any time in its sole discretion that the winner or potential winner is disqualified, ineligible, or in violation of these Official Rules, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to select an alternate winner, even if the disqualified potential winner’s name may have been shown or announced on the Web Site or elsewhere. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest. If any person supplies false information, obtains entries by fraudulent means, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these Official Rules in an attempt to obtain any prize, Sponsor may disqualify that person and seek damages from him or her and that person may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. In the event of a dispute concerning who submitted an entry, the entry will be declared to have been made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry, but only if that person meets all other eligibility criteria. An authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potentially winning entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY ONLINE SERVICE, WEBSITE OR THE GAME OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST VIOLATES CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, SPONSOR MAY DISQUALIFY ANY PARTICIPANT MAKING SUCH ATTEMPT AND MAY SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. Disputes/Governing Law: Except where prohibited, as a condition of participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the entrant and any Contest Entity, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or the prize awarded, or the determination of the winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will an entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than entrant’s actual out-pocket expenses (e.g., costs), if any, not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250), and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
This Contest and any dispute arising under or related thereto (whether for breach of contract, tortious conduct or otherwise) will be governed by the laws of the State of Missouri without reference to its conflicts of law principles. Any legal actions, suits or proceedings arising out of or relating to these Official Rules or the Contest (whether for breach of contract, tortious conduct or otherwise) will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Jackson County, and each entrant accepts and submits to the personal jurisdiction of these Jackson County courts with respect to any legal actions, suits or proceedings arising out of or related to this Contest.
9. Winner List/Official Rules: For the list of winners or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request with a hand-printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Rocket and Teresa’s $20,000 Wedding March Radio Contest. 508 Westport Road, Suite 202. Kansas City, Missouri. 64111. Indicate whether you are requesting the identity of the winner or a copy of these Official Rules. Only one (1) request per outer envelope, mailed separately, will be fulfilled. All winners list requests must be received by Thursday, March 6th, 2010. Official Rules requests must be received during the Contest Period. Vermont residents may omit return postage with Official Rules requests. These Official Rules are also available during the Contest Period at www.mix93.com.
