Position Title: Promotions/Marketing Intern
Work Schedule: Part time: flexible (weekend and evening availability a must!)
Compensation: Non-paid, college credit available
Start/End Dates: tbd by semester
Major Requested: Communications, Journalism or Marketing
Duties: Events, Remotes and Appearances
• Event conceptualization, set-up and breakdown
• Interacting with the public; developing a “listener”-friendly image of MIX 100/92.5 THE WOLF/ KOOL 105
• Working and developing positive relationships with on-air personalities, promotions staff and others
Primary Office
• Assist in writing promotional proposals, recaps, action plans and press releases
• Organizing the promotional merchandise
• Preparing for upcoming remotes, appearances and station events
• Assisting with the maintenance of paperwork
• Interacting with clients and listeners via the telephone and in person
Secondary Office
• Learning about the Business/Traffic Departments, including accounting, revenue collections, contract generation, and commercial logs
• Observing on-air talent re: presentation of all stations products
• Understanding technical aspects of radio through engineering
Special Note: Interns must be energetic, creative, outgoing and comfortable in crowd settings. Enjoy working with the public. Interns should be self-starters, able to work independently or with groups, and have a positive attitude and a sense of humor. Apply below. |
