Justin Timberlake managed to dominate the 2014 Billboard Music Awards without even stepping foot inside Las Vegas' MGM Grand. The pop superstar is in the midst of a world tour, but on Sunday night he earned a leading seven new trophies during the Sin City ceremony. In his taped acceptance speech for the coveted Top Artist award, Timberlake said he wanted to thank everybody on Earth -- except Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. As for some of the other winners, Imagine Dragons picked up five awards, while Lorde made a couple of acceptance speeches including one for Top New Artist. Carrie Underwood won the fan-voted Milestone Award, and Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, T.I., and Pharrell also scored victories. Jennifer Lopez was part of the opening and closing numbers, rounding out the night by accepting the honorary Icon Award.
The Billboard Music Awards also featured plenty of live music, including a Michael Jackson hologram performing the King of Pop's new song "Slave to the Rhythm."
Miley Cyrus covered the Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" with members of the Flaming Lips, Lorde sang her new song "Tennis Court," Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood teamed up for their duet "Somethin' Bad," and Iggy Azalea joined forces with Charli XCX and Ariana Grande for their hits "Fancy" and "Problem." Robin Thicke also crooned a brand new song called "Get Her Back." The 2014 Billboard Music Awards were hosted by Ludacris, and were broadcast live on ABC.
