I am flying through the Hunger Games series. In less than a week I read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. Now I am reading the final book, Mockingjay. Listen to Mix 93.3 for free tickets to the movie!
Good morning! No sleep last night. Not sure if it was insomnia or if I was upset because Ben picked Crazy Courtney as part of his final two on the Bachelor! Disturbing!

Not surprisingly, JENNIFER LOPEZ'S alleged nip-slip was the most re-watched moment of the Oscars, according to TiVo. Her stylist still stands by the statement that we saw nothing. What we do know for sure is that we saw all of Angelina Jolie's right leg. In fact it has inspired a twitter account. @AngiesRightLeg already has over 13 thousand followers. account was created within hours of the actress' much-talked about stage stunt and has since amassed more than 13-thousand followers. AngiesRightLeg has also offered a few warm greetings to new followers with tweets that read, "You have to admit I'm one hell of a leg," and "Great meeting most of you for the first time last night at the Oscars!!"
It doesn't look like fans will be getting an early preview of Whitney Houston's final film. TMZ.com is citing sources who say "Sparkle" is under close watch to make sure no one leaks Whitney's scenes or music. People are said to be working on the film "around the clock" to finish post-production as soon as they can. The building where "Sparkle" is being edited has also reportedly had its security increased. Starring alongside Whitney Houston in "Sparkle" are Jordin Sparks, Cee Lo Green and Mike Epps. The film is scheduled to debut in theaters on August 17th.
and finally this morning...5 time Oscar winning, Hugo comes out on DVD today. The movie about anorphan living in the walls of a Paris train station is Martin Scorcese's first 3D film, and it's based on the children's book "The Invention of Hugo Cabret".
So tired! by Teresa Mix 93,posted Feb 22 2012 6:30AM
Last night I took my family to see Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour by Cirque De Soleil. Amazing! However, this morning I am sleepy. Totally worth it. The show is not completely sold out so get your tickets now at the Sprint Center for the tonight's show.
Not a lot in Tabloid today. Lindsay Lohan is due back in court today for a progress hearing. No big deal...pretty routine.
Charlie Sheen has written a public letter of apology to Ashton Kutcher for saying he sucks on Two and a Half Men. He says that he knows Ashton is doing his best but he stands by his statement that the show itself sucks.
and first it was M.I.A. at the Superbowl...now Adele flips the bird during the Brit Awards. She was in the middle of a moving speech when producers accidentally cued the intro for the next performer and cut her off. Oh well...the Brit's are more forgiving about that kind of thing.
Remember to listen all this week to win advanced screening passes to both The Lorax and 21 Jump St.
I had the best weekend. I slept, ate, and slept some more. That means today I will have to catch up on laundry. That's okay. I'm looking forward to spending the day with my kids since they are out of school.
Here is the latest Tabloid Trash:
Whitney Houston's "Home Going" journey is over. The body of the Grammy Award-winning music superstar was laid to rest Sunday at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, one day after an emotional funeral in Newark that included many of Houston's celebrity friends. Although fans and well wishers lined the streets to watch the hearse carry Houston's body into the cemetery, Sunday's burial was much more low key than the Saturday service that was described as a "Home Going" celebration of the singer's life. The private burial was reportedly attended by family and Houston's closest friends. Whitney was to be buried next to her father John Houston who was interred at the cemetery in 2003.
Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and Tyler Perry were among those who offered their personal goodbyes during Whitney's funeral on Saturday. The raw emotion of the service was punctuated by the stirring sound of Houston's own voice. Her biggest hit, "I Will Always Love You," played over the sound system at the New Hope Baptist Church as pall bearers carried her silver and gold casket out of the church. Houston's mother, gospel singer Cissy Houston, was visibly shaken as she walked behind her daughter's casket, and Whitney's daughter was seen sobbing uncontrollably behind her grandmother.
Bobby Brown says his group were asked to move on three separate occasions after security seated them in the church. Brown says security then prevented him from seeing his and Houston's daughter Bobbi-Kristina. He says in light of the events he gave a kiss to the casket of his ex-wife and departed so as to not create a scene. Brown says his children are "completely distraught" over the incident.
Lindsay Lohan will be making her return to the "Saturday Night Live" stage next month. During this past weekend's episode of the NBC sketch comedy show, they announced the troubled star and recent "Playboy" model would host the show on March 3rd, along with musical guest Jack White. This will be Lohan's fourth stint as "SNL" host, and her first since 2006.
"Safe House" and "The Vow" are switching spots atop the weekend box office.
1. "Safe House" (24-million dollars)
2. "The Vow" (23-point-six-million)
3. "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" (22-million dollars)
4. "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" (20-point-one-million dollars)
5. "This Means War" (17-point-six-million dollars)
TGIF...no really...thank you God! It's been a fun but long week with the death of Whitney Houston, traveling to and from Jamaica, Rocket and my son both being sick with fever...Calgon take me away!!!!
Here is the latest in Tabloid Trash today:
Whitney reportedly failed a physical two weeks before her death. According to RadarOnline.com, she wanted a FACELIFT . . . but before she could get it she had to pass a clearance exam that tests the heart, lungs and liver. She didn't.
Bobby Brown is being invited to Whitney Houston's funeral. TMZ.com is citing Houston family sources who say Whitney's ex-husband has been asked to attend this weekend's ceremony. One insider says the family decided that inviting Bobby "would keep the peace at the funeral," despite the fact that some family members don't want him there.
Janet Jackson is on this Monday's episode of Anderson Cooper's talk show. He asked her about being a judge on The X-Factor and she just giggles. Not convincing!
Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and LMFAO are All three in the running for the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards, and will face off against each other in the Favorite Song category. Nominations just came down.
Fans can cast their votes for the 25th annual Kids' Choice Awards starting March 1st at Nick.com or with the Nick Mobile app. Will Smith is on board to host the event, which will air live March 31st on Nickelodeon.
Meanwhile the NAACP Image Awards will be broadcast tonight on NBC. Beyonce is in the running for four trophies, including Outstanding Female Artist, Music Video, Song and Album. Jennifer Hudson also has multiple nods for her album "I Remember Me," while Chris Brown and Bruno Mars will face off against each other for the Outstanding Male Artist award.
The Celebrity Apprentice starts its new season this Sunday on NBC. Debbie Gibson is playing for Children International which is based here in KC.
Jamaica was so much fun but I am happy to be home! I missed my babies. My son, Chase came down with a case of Bronchitis while we were gone. I also am glad to be back in the Mix 93.3 studio. Things are not completely back to normal though...Rocket is out sick with pink eye or something like it. All I know is that there is goo dripping from both of his eyes. :(
Tabloid this week is all about Whitney Houston. Here is the latest:
The death certificate has been filed in Los Angeles County. It reflects the inconclusive nature of the singer's death, listing boxes requesting "immediate cause of death" as "deferred" and "manner of death" as "pending investigation." Whitney is also listed as an "entertainer" on the certificate. Houston will be buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey where the singer's father is also buried. Houston will be laid to rest on Saturday - exactly one week to the day she was discovered unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was 48 years old.
The funeral service is expected to be made available for TV and Internet streaming. It has been confirmed by publicists and entertainers that nearly a dozen celebrities and personalities will be among the 15-hundred people filling the by "invitation only" seats at the church where she grew up. Houston's godmother Aretha Franklin has been asked to sing at the service which is scheduled to begin at noon eastern time.
While authorities await the results of toxicology tests, they have also subpoenaed the singer's medical prescription records. Investigators reportedly found prescription drugs inside Houston's hotel room. Reports also suggest she was drinking heavily the night before her death.
As expected, Whitney's death sparked a huge sales boost for her music.
Her "Greatest Hits" album even made it back into the Top 10 of the "Billboard" album chart. It sold 64,000 copies . . . most of them in just over a day . . . to land at #6.
Whitney also sold 887,000 digital tracks . . . compared to 15,000 last week. Not surprisingly, the most popular tune was "I Will Always Love You", which was purchased 195,000 times.
and finally...The agent for the New Jersey mansion where Whitney Houston once lived is using some questionable selling points in hopes of landing a buyer. The listing reads: "With the recent passing of Whitney Houston in Beverly Hills, California, the day before the 2012 Grammy Awards show, it is with a heavy heart that we remind you of this great mansion. Now is the time for someone to step up and buy this great house." Listed for one-point-seven-five-million-dollars, the Mendham Township home is also described as "the scene of the activity that brought down this incredible diva over a 15-year cycle," noting that "Whitney Houston Married, Lived, and Loved in this New Jersey Mansion." the home's star studded history would provide "a great conversation piece" for its new owner.
Houston's former home has been on the market since 2009. Resting on five acres, the home boasts a four car garage, "soaring ceilings, abundant natural light and circular-themed interior spaces."
Jamaica by Teresa Mix 93,posted Feb 13 2012 4:31PM
Hello KC! The Rocket & Teresa Show is live in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at the Sandals Grande Riviera. So far we have been on a lunch cruise, enjoyed a grilled lobster feast, and walked in the sand on the most beautiful blue ocean.
Billy and I have a very romantic "Romeo & Juliet" villa. When you walk through the door you step into an outside courtyard with our own private hot tub and pool. It's very secluded. We just keep the doors from our bedroom open to the courtyard all day.
Tonight we are having a beach party where we can enjoy music and dinner with our toes in the sand right by the water. We already gave away 1 of 2 trips to Sandals to Amber, Belton on Friday. We will give away the second trip tomorrow on Valentine's Day!
Glad I made it through today's show. Poor Rocket is really sick and he leaves with Ponch for Jamaica tomorrow. I will be on the air tomorrow and Friday with Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVDs, Meet and Greet party passes with Twilight star, Gil Birmingham, Titanic 3-D movie passes for Valentine's Day, and more chances to go to Sandals Grande Riviera in Jamaica!
