The Walmart truck driver who allegedly caused a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike critically injuring comedian Tracy Morgan heads to court today. Kevin Roper is charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto after his big-rig slammed into the back of a limo. The collision killed comedian James McNair and critically injured Morgan and two others early Saturday morning. Morgan will likely remain hospitalized for the next several weeks. He sustained numerous broken bones, including a broken femur that required surgery on Sunday. He also sustained a broken nose and several broken ribs. His rep also says his family is "tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative" for all of the support from his fans.
CASEY KASEM'S daughter Kerri says her father, quote, "won't be with us much longer." And she blames that, in part, on Casey's current wife JEAN. Even so, she says Jean and their daughter Liberty are more than welcome to be in the hospital with the rest of the family when Casey passes away. Another hearing is scheduled today in Los Angeles. Kerri wants a judge to allow her to place her ailing father in a nursing facility in Washington state until she can bring him to L.A.
A man is behind bars after allegedly trying to break into the Bel Air Estates home of actress Sandra Bullock Sunday morning. Joshua Corbett made it past the home security which includes a giant iron fence, barbed wire and security cameras. Authorities say Bullock had been inside the home at the time the 39-year-old Corbett was creeping around, but investigators are not saying whether the Oscar-winning actress was the person who called police. Corbett, a Glendale resident , was taken to LAPD Men's Central Jail and is being held on 50-thousand dollars bail.
Bryan Cranston and Neil Patrick Harris are both Tony Winners. Broadway's biggest night took over Radio City Music Hall in New York on Sunday night, with host Hugh Jackman.
Not many orchestra performances can be called "booty-shaking," but the Seattle Symphony is willing to take on that challenge. Friday night, rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot joined the orchestra onstage to perform two of his biggest hits. After finishing "Posse on Broadway," Mix invited about 40 women to to take the stage and shake it to "Baby Got Back."
