Pharrell Williams took home two awards at the BET awards last night for Video of the Year and Male R&B/Pop Artist. Nicki Minaj was honored with Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award for the fifth year in a row. BEYONCÉ won four awards.

The other day on CNBC they were talking about gay CEOs, and how they all seem to want to stay in the closet.  And one of the hosts came right out and OUTED Apple's Tim Cook, without even thinking twice.  It was REALLY awkward.  (The host's name is Simon Hobbs, and the show is called "Squawk on the Street".

AMY ADAMS gave up her first class airplane seat to a SOLDIER on a flight from Detroit to L.A.  She tried to do it inconspicuously, but other passengers saw what happened, so the story got out.  When the press contacted Amy she said, quote, "I didn't do it for attention for myself.  I did it for attention for the Troops."

Several hours before being arrested for disrupting a Broadway revival of "Cabaret" this past Thursday, SHIA LABEOUF was seen out on the street . . . chasing a homeless guy around for his hat.  He'd also been to two bars that day, and was yelling at a random woman who had no idea what was going on.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" had the best opening weekend of the year, earning $100 million in its first few days of release.  That's slightly better than the last "Transformers" movie, which made $97.9 million in 2011 . . . but not as good as the $109 million that "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" made in 2009.
