JIM LANGE died early Tuesday morning, from a heart attack at the age of 81. He was the original host of "The Dating Game", from 1965 to 1974, and then again from 1978 to 1980.  And he got his start in radio . . . it was his first love, and he spent 45 years on the air.

The Grammy Foundation has announced its latest charity fund -- The Bruno Mars Scholarship. The pop singer is helping to send five high school students to Grammy Camp, the summer music program established by the Recording Academy. For the next five years, one student will be given financial assistance to participate in the nationally recognized program -- with preference given to applicants from Hawaii, Bruno's home state. The scholarship will start this year, and students will get to select their concentrations in musical fields ranging from audio engineering to music journalism. Alec Baldwin is playing the very role he claims to loathe in real life on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." The controversial actor will play a newspaper columnist in an upcoming episode of the longrunning series, marking his first acting role since "30 Rock" ended its run on NBC last year. Details of Baldwin's role on the episode comes just days after the actor published a critical op-ed piece in "New York Magazine," slamming the media he says he loathes and despises in a way he "did not think possible."

Jay Leno is making his way back into the public eye. On Wednesday, the former "Tonight Show" host stopped by the set of the "Arsenio Hall Show" for his first public appearance since leaving the "Tonight Show" earlier this month. Jay came bearing the good news for Arsenio's show...his show has been renewed for a second season.

NBC News anchor Brian Williams is gaining a son-in-law. Williams' daughter, "Girls" actress Allison Williams is engaged. Allison's rep tells "People" the 25-year-old is set to wed boyfriend Ricky Van Veen. The couple has been dating for three years. Allison's series "Girls" is in its third season on HBO and has been renewed for a fourth. Her co-star and show creator Lena Dunham will host "Saturday Night Live" on March 8th.

The soundtrack for Disney's "Frozen" has proven itself a force on the charts with another week at number one on the Billboard 200. Its return to number one this week marks its fifth, nonconsecutive time claiming the top spot. "Frozen" has now has earned the most weeks at number one for a soundtrack since the musical companion for the 1998 blockbuster "Titantic." It's the first movie soundtrack that's come close to "Titantic's" success, after the Celine Dion-led album ruled the chart for a whopping 16 straight weeks that year. This week's tally brought in another 89-thousand copies for "Frozen."
