 Former NBC news anchor TOM BROKAW has revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer last August. He has "multiple myeloma" . . . a cancer affecting blood cells in the bone marrow . . . but his doctors are "optimistic" about how he's responding to treatment.

Selena Gomez is thanking fans for the support since news broke last week that she spent two weeks in rehab. The singer has broken her silence with a message on Instagram, saying that she's "done everything [she] could do to the best of [her] ability." She also thanked fans for "the unconditional love and cyber hugs." Selena's note came with a smiling photo of herself standing on a boat. Selena's team has said that her stint in rehab was only for emotional reasons. The star's photo has over 675-thousand likes.

Congratulations are in order for Michael Jordan and his wife, Yvette. E! News confirms the NBA legend and his lady have welcomed twin girls into the world.  Victoria and Ysabel, were born Sunday, February 9, 2014 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Hugh Jackman is returning to the Tony Awards. The actor has been tapped to host Broadway's biggest night for the fourth time. He served as host for three consecutive years between 2003 and 2005, and picked up a Tony himself in 2004 for his role in "The Boy From Oz."

The "Olympics Opening Ceremony" was the most-watched show on television with 31.7 million viewers. And primetime Olympic coverage round out the rest of the Top 4. Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" mid-season premiere got 15.8 million viewers. And the CBS Beatles special had 14 million viewers. The network will air an encore presentation of "The Night That Changed America: Grammy Salute to the Beatles" tonight at 7:30p.

EMILIA CLARKE from "Game of Thrones" tops this year's list of the 99 Most Desirable Women. Last year's winner, JENNIFER LAWRENCE, dropped to FOURTH.
