TERESA'S TABLOID TRASH 12/23

Cracker Barrel is back in business with all members of the "Duck Dynasty" clan. According to TMZ.com, the Tennessee-based restaurant chain is lifting its ban on merchandise bearing the image of reality show patriarch Phil Robertson, just one day after imposing it. Cracker Barrel reportedly cited the angry backlash it received from "Duck Dynasty" fans after announcing the Phil ban Saturday. The company initially said it was concerned that Robertson's controversial comments on gays and African-Americans in a "GQ" magazine interview did not fall in line with its policy of "equal treatment of all people" and "mutual respect."
Now, Cracker Barrel says it was wrong for pulling the merchandise and is apologizing for offending its customers for doing so.

Charlie Sheen is wading into the "Duck Dynasty" controversy. Sheen made his position on the matter clear over the weekend. He launched into a bit of a Twitter tirade on Saturday, saying Robertson had quote, "offended and hurt so many dear friends of mine." He went on to call Robertson a "shower dodger" and "the only surviving brain donor" he's ever known.

Vin Diesel says "Fast & Furious 7" is still a go. Universal Pictures put production in park this month after Paul Walker's tragic death but the message posted to Diesel's Facebook page on Sunday suggests cameras will soon be rolling again. The message says "Fast & Furious 7" will be released on April 10th, 2015. That's nine months after its originally scheduled release date of July 11th, 2014.

NBC is celebrating this morning after the nice ratings boost that Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake gave them this past weekend. Saturday's episode of Saturday Night Live ranked as the highest rated episode since January of 2012. Jimmy and Justin were nearly inseparable throughout the night and even kicked off the show by donning gift-wrapping costumes and showing off their rapping skills in a "Wrappinville" skit.

Sir Paul McCartney, Barry Gibbs, and Madonna also made cameos.

Katy Perry was on Ellen Friday.  She brought John Mayer out with her.  Ellen asked what he was buying her for Christmas.

She also asked about their new video “Who You Love”

Speaking of Katy Perry…she had a pretty good 2013, especially on Twitter. The social media site says she gained more followers than any other artist in any genre last year. Perry added 15-million followers to get to a Twitter-leading total of 48-million, easily beating her nearest competition, Justin Bieber.  He gained 13-point-eight-million followers over the past 12 months to reach a total of 47-point-seven-million. Other pop stars who found Twitter success in 2013 included Niall of One Direction, whose 20th birthday message was the most re-tweeted tweet of the year. And Miley Cyrus had the third most tweeted-about album with "Bangerz," finishing behind Kanye West's "Yeezus" and Drake's "Nothing Was the Same." Cyrus also helped the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards garner the most tweets for an award show with her twerk-heavy performance with Robin Thicke.

Shoppers at one Massachusetts Walmart got more than they bargained for Friday when Beyonce showed up at the store. She got a firsthand look at her new album on the shelves and took time out to do some Christmas shopping, picking out a toy for her and Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy. She then made sure everyone else in the store got a little something of their own, courtesy of the superstar. The Friday night shopping surprise came on the heels of a decision by both Target and Amazon not to sell her latest album, "Beyonce." A manager at the Tewksbury Walmart told "Us" magazine Beyonce dropped more than 37-thousand dollars at the store.

Miley Cyrus is giving her fans a taste of a racy post-Christmas present she has in the works. Over the weekend the pop singer posted a few seconds from her new "Adore You" video on Instagram. The full clip will make its debut on December 26th, and it looks like fans can expect more footage of a scantily clad Miley. The teaser shows Cryus in her underwear writhing around in bed. "Adore You" is the latest single taken from Miley's hit album "Bangerz."

Paris Jackson is reportedly leaving her Utah boarding school for the holidays. E! Online reports that the 15-year-old has left Utah and has headed to Hawaii to join her family for the Christmas holiday. The trip reportedly marks her first time leaving Utah since being admitted to the boarding school following her June 5th suicide attempt. A family insider reveals that the family "doesn't want Paris to spend her entire winter break at home because they don't want her getting comfortable." They are reportedly worried that Paris will try to talk her way into staying home. Following the Hawaiian vacation, Paris will reportedly head to Calabasas, California to visit her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, before returning to Utah.

Not quite as many people are interested in seeing the "Anchorman" legend continue as they are in "The Hobbit." Will Ferrell's new Ron Burgundy film, "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,"  opened second to "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," which in its second week raked in another 31-point-five-million dollars. "Anchorman" made  just under 27-million in box office receipts. "Frozen" is this weekend's number three movie, with 19-point-two-million in ticket sales. The animated feature just slides past "America Hustle," which brought in 19-point-one-million. "Saving Mr. Banks" rounds out the top five with earnings of nine-point-three-million.
