ZAYN MALIK has decided to drop out of ONE DIRECTION permanently. He says, quote, "After five years, I feel like it's now the right time for me to leave . . . I want to be a normal 22-year-old who's able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight." The band will continue as a four-piece.

"Empire" co-stars TRAI BYERS and GRACE GEALEY are dating in real life. They even went to a wedding together recently. On the show, Trai plays Andre Lyon . . . and Grace plays Anika Calhoun, a.k.a. Boo Boo Kitty.

Meghan Trainor is now using more than just her voice to become an advocate for "that bass." The pop singer has signed on to become the face of the plus-sized fashion brand FullBeauty… an upscale online shopping destination for full-figured women. Meghan says she believes all women should "fully love who they are and how they look" and is "proud" to be teaming up with a company that shares her feelings.

KENDRICK LAMAR scored his first #1 album this week, with 363,000 copies of "To Pimp a Butterfly".

JON HAMM just got done with a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse. He checked himself into a place called Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut back in February. He was there for 30 days. The second half of the seventh and final season of "Mad Men" begins on AMC a week from Sunday.

Celine Dion is opening up about her husband's battle with cancer on ABC's "Good Morning America." Celine says 73-year-old Rene Angelil needs her at home, explaining that he can only eat through a feeding tube and that she feeds him herself three times a day.

As the Lyon family battles for control over Empire on-screen, a battle is also brewing off-screen over the rights to the "Empire" name. Fox has reportedly filed a preemptive lawsuit against Empire Distribution to secure the title for its hit hip-hop drama series. The network claims the music distribution company sent over a letter suggesting that its use of the word "Empire" would confuse Empire Distribution's clients, artists and business partners. Fox wants the courts to declare that its "Empire" does not infringe on the distribution company's trademark rights.

Iggy Azalea is coming clean about some of her recent enhancements. In an interview with "Vogue," the "Fancy" emcee admitted to getting work done on her breasts about four months ago. Apparently, she was reluctant to come forward about going under the knife because she didn't want her young fans to be ashamed of their own bodies. However, she decided that it was better to be honest to her fans.

Van Halen will make its triumphant return to television next Monday when they take the stage on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." They'll also be back for a second performance on the ABC late-night show on Tuesday, followed by an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" April 2nd. It coincides with the release of Van Halen's first live album with Roth. "Tokyo Dome Live in Concert" is due out March 31st. They've also announced a lengthy North American tour that will keep them busy this summer and fall.

Fox is bringing back "The X-Files" for a limited run, six-episode series. There's no airdate yet. And yes, DAVID DUCHOVNY and GILLIAN ANDERSON will be back as Mulder and Scully. Series creator Chris Carter is returning, too.

CHLOE SEVIGNY is returning for the fifth season of "American Horror Story" . . . "American Horror Story: Hotel". She was also in Season 2, "Asylum".

James Corden may have just gotten the scoop on Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's relationship status on the premiere episode of his "Late Late Show." Kunis hesitantly but seemingly confirmed her marriage to her former "That '70s Show" co-star and baby daddy on the Monday night episode. Now, this could have all been a joke . . . and "Us Weekly" claims it was, and Ashton and Mila are NOT married.

Actress Angelina Jolie says she had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed to protect herself against cancer. The Academy Award-winning actress and mother of six writes in a "New York Times" essay that she underwent surgery last week. The announcement comes two years after Jolie revealed that she had a double-mastectomy to prevent breast cancer. She writes that the blood test that indicated she had an 87-percent chance of developing breast cancer also showed she had a 50-percent of developing ovarian cancer. The 39-year-old actress's mother suffered with ovarian cancer for nearly a decade before dying at age 56.

Vin Diesel has named his newborn daughter Pauline, in honor of the late Paul Walker. The "Furious 7" actor claims he felt Paul's presence in the delivery room as his girlfriend was giving birth to their 3rd child on March 16th. . . He said quote, "There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord."

Jennifer Lawrence is moving on from her "X-Men" character Mystique. The Oscar winner told MTV News at the premiere of her new movie "Serena" over the weekend that her next appearance in "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be her last. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is due in theaters next year.

Redfoo from LMFAO and Emma Slater was the first couple eliminated on this season of "Dancing with the Stars."

Empire has the highest rated freshman finale since the finale of Grey's Anatomy back in 2005. The new Fox drama drew 21.1 million viewers last Wednesday night.

Meanwhile…Mariah Carey is getting chummy with the cast and guest stars of "Empire." The diva posted a photo of a dinner date with Courtney Love and director Brett Ratner in Los Angeles on Saturday. Last week, Mariah performed at the Human Rights Campaign gala, where she was introduced by "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett…he plays Jamal. It's been rumored that she may be on board for the show's next season.

Here's what's new on DVD today:

"The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" . . . The third movie in the "Hobbit" trilogy covers the one-armed orc's final confrontation with Thorin Oakenshield, and the battle to defend the mountain and the dragon's unguarded treasure.

"Into the Woods" . . . the fairy tale musical starring James Corden and Emily Blunt as a couple whose wish for a child of their own leads them on a quest to collect four spell ingredients for a witch played by Meryl Streep.

"Unbroken" . . . the World War II movie directed by Angelina Jolie and based on a true story. It stars Jack O'Connell as an Olympic runner who survived being tortured as a Japanese P.O.W.

And just announced…Fifty Shades of Grey will be available on digital HD Friday May 1st and Blu Ray Combo Pack & DVD Friday May 8th…it will include the unrated edition.

Donald Trump is again considering running for President. The real estate mogul is launching a presidential exploratory committee today. Trump is not renewing his contract as host of the NBC TV series "The Apprentice" Because he would have to give up his TV show if he becomes a candidate.

The Associated Press confused suspected killer Robert Durst with FRED DURST from LIMP BIZKIT . . . and it wasn't just a name mix-up, they actually reported that Robert was "the former frontman of Limp Bizkit." They later issued a correction, but they called Fred the "former frontman," when the band is still together. Robert Durst is the guy who was profiled on HBO's "The Jinx".

Ellen DeGeneres was on "Today", and she told Matt Lauer why she probably won't have kids.

The end could be near for "Fashion Police". Its return has been postponed until September. E! claims they're just taking a break to "refresh the show before the next awards season."

Speaking of fashion…Elton John photographed carrying Dolce & Gabbana shopping bag just days after singer calls for boycott of the fashion designers.

KENDALL and KYLIE JENNER are getting their own mobile game, just like their sister KIM KARDASHIAN. It'll be out later this year.

Fox's "Empire" isn't just on top of the TV ratings, it's music is also topping the charts. The soundtrack from the hip-hop drama series has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after banking 130-thousand sales in its first week in stores. "Empire" beat out the debut of Madonna's latest album, "Rebel Heart." The first season finale of "Empire" airs tonight on Fox.

You've never heard of Natalia Kills and Willy Moon, but they're judges on New Zealand's "X Factor". They're both pop stars in New Zealand, and they're married to each other. But they were FIRED this week, for really mean comments they made to a contestant on Sunday. Natalia got angry because the contestant dressed up like Willy for his audition .

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were both in the audience last night to support their oldest daughter…Rumer Willis. The judges said she's the one to watch this season. She got a 32 out of 40, which was the night's highest score.

But it was army veteran Noah Galloway, who lost his left arm and leg after being hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq that brought us all to tears.

"Community" is back! The former NBC sitcom begins its sixth season today as a streaming serial on Yahoo.

Following Disney's live-action release of "Cinderella" this weekend comes word of a release date for the live-action take on "Beauty and the Beast." Scheduled to arrive in theaters March 17th, 2017, the new movie, based on the 1991 animated classic, will star Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. Kevin Kline, Josh Gad and Luke Evans also have roles in the film.

BETTY WHITE will get a lifetime achievement award at the Daytime Emmys next month.

HBO's documentary series "The Jinx" may have led to the arrest of Robert Durst. He's a real estate magnate who was suspected of three murders over the past 40 years. He always said he was innocent, but during last night's finale, he CONFESSED. He was arrested Saturday night, probably because of what he said on the show.

A drunk driver became an unwanted visitor at Jennifer Aniston's house Saturday night after the guy hit a curb and took out some of her plants. When cops arrived the driver told them he was not behind the wheel, but security footage from the home clearly showed otherwise. The guy flunked the field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Comedy Central's roast of JUSTIN BIEBER taped Saturday night in Los Angeles, and we have a few of the highlights: KEVIN HART was the host, and the roasters included Shaquille O'Neal, Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and comedians Jeffrey Ross, Hannibal Buress, Chris D'Elia, Natasha Leggero, and Pete Davidson from "SNL". Seth Rogen did NOT make a surprise appearance, but WILL FERRELL did . . . as Ron Burgundy. The "Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber" will air Monday, March 30th.

TAYLOR SWIFT joked about the rumor that she insured her legs for $40 million, after her cat put a huge scratch on one of them. She Tweeted a picture of the scratch along with the caption, "Great work Meredith. I was just trying to love you and now you owe me $40 million."

Fox's "Empire" is already booking some top talent for its second season. "Empire" co-creator Lee Daniels tells "Access Hollywood" that Oprah Winfrey has signed on for a cameo next season. "Empire" wraps up its first season on Wednesday with a two-hour season finale.

Rihanna is making history as the first black woman to serve as the face of French fashion house Dior. The brand confirms to "Vogue" that the pop star has signed on as the next "Dior Girl" and will be starring in the upcoming fourth installment of its "Secret Garden" ad campaign.

"Cinderella" dominated the box office this weekend with just over $70 million in ticket sales. And worldwide, the movie earned a total of $132.5 million. The only other release was the new LIAM NEESON action movie "Run All Night", which came in 2nd place with a disappointing $11 million.

Tonight on TV:

• The 20th season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" . . . on ABC.
They're also calling this the show's 10th anniversary. It first premiered in 2005.

This season's cast features openly gay NFL player Michael Sam, "Bachelor" Chris Soules, Redfoo from LMFAO, former Dalton Academy Warbler Riker Lynch, "Shark Tank's" Robert Herjavec, and double amputee Army veteran Noah Galloway. And for the ladies we've got Patti LaBelle, Suzanne Somers, Rumer Willis, 14-year-old "Hunger Games" actress Willow Shields, Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin, and Carl's Jr. model of the moment Charlotte McKinney.

Disney's not ready to let it go. The company is warming up a sequel to "Frozen." Animator John Lasseter said after making the short film "Frozen Fever" to premiere before Disney's new "Cinderella" feature this weekend, they came up with a great idea for a sequel to the 2013 hit. "Frozen" has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, having made more than one-point-two-billion dollars at the worldwide box office.

The next chapter of the "Star Wars" saga has yet to unfold on the big screen but we already have a release date for the chapter after that, and a new "Star Wars" spin-off. Disney and Lucasfilm have announced May 26th, 2017 as the release date for "Star Wars: Episode 8," and December 16th, 2016 for an upcoming standalone film titled "Rogue One "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" arrives in theaters December 18th.

WILL FERRELL pulled off his crazy baseball stunt yesterday, where he went to five different spring training games in Arizona and played for all 10 of those Major League teams. He played all nine field positions, plus designated hitter. He did it to raise money for cancer charities, and everything was filmed for a documentary that'll air on HBO.

KATHY GRIFFIN has quit "Fashion Police" after just seven episodes. She said, quote, "My style does not fit with the creative direction of the show." She suggested that "Fashion Police" was too MEAN . . . but we don't know if it had anything to do with Giuliana Rancic's controversial joke about Zendaya.

Andy Samberg is on Emmy duty this year. The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star has been tapped to host the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards, airing September 20th on Fox.

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington is helping HBO revisit a real-life scandal. Washington will play law professor Anita Hill whose explosive testimony at Justice Clarence Thomas' confirmation hearing in 1991 almost cost Thomas his place on the Supreme Court bench.

Music from Fox's new hit series "Empire" is vying for the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. According to "Billboard," industry analysts predict that the "Empire" soundtrack could sell around 125-thousand copies in its first week. It is already on top of itunes. Yazz and Jussie Smollett stopped by "American Idol" last night. They're currently starring on "Empire" and they performed the show's theme song "No Apologies".
