This past week I "Escaped the Ordinary" by doing lots of things in KC for the first time. I enjoyed my first concert at Live Strong Sporting Park. Journey was amazing and I had a blast at 2nd Chance Prom. Sunday was my very first visit to Irish Fest. Yes, it is the 10th Anniversary but it was my first time. Finally, I enjoyed a day at the K with my hubby and my son Chase yesterday. For the first time I ate nachos from Jose Peppers during the game. Yummy!!!

I am so excited about our 2nd Chance Prom this Friday at LIve Strong Sporting Park. I can't wait to see Journey, Loverboy, and Pat Benetar in concet. Did you have a good prom? If you want to "redo" it then buy your ticketsnow at mix93.com.
I will also be hanging out at KC Irishfest this Sunday. It actually goes on Friday, Sat, and Sunday. Come out and see me!

Yay! Normally I like to "Escape the Ordinary" but this week I will confess...I love being back to my normal schedule. The kids are in school and I can have some "me" time. My hubby and I are catching up on all the summer movies that we missed. We saw "The Expendables 2" on Friday. Horrible. That's okay. A bad movie is still fun entertainment.

Wow! I am tired after a very busy weekend. Big Time Rush came into the Mix 93.3 studios on Friday afternoon. We have a company party at the T-Bones game Friday night. Saturday Pauly D came to Power and Light and yesterday I ate lots of cake at the Perfect Wedding Guide bridal show inside Union Station.
How am I going to top that and "Escape The Ordinary" this week. Well, Saturday Ponch is going to marry a couple on top of a waterslide at Schlitterbahn. Yep...that is pretty "out of the ordinary". Share your stories about "Escaping the Ordinary" with me.

It's the last week of July. So much going on this week including the Olympics starting up on Friday. My kids are getting bored. We only have a few more weeks and they head back to school. I need to "Escape" their boring summer routine of sleeping late and playing video games all day. Share your ideas with me. How are you keeping your kids entertained?

This week I have a big goal to help me "Escape The Ordinary". I have started a Soccer Shoe Drive for kids in South Africa. One of my son's former teachers and her family are now missionaries in Northern Natal. They are hoping to provide new and gently used soccer shoes for 240 boys ages 9-16. How was your 4th of July holiday? Mine was great. We just played at the pool and spent time with our neighbors. This week Kansas City is "Escaping the Ordinary" with the 83rd Annual MLB All Star Game. It is so fun watching the entire country talk about KC. Are you going to the game? My family went to Fan Fest and my husband has had a blast at the Futures Game, Celebrity Softball Game, and The Home Run Derby. He is definitely "living the dream".

I'm back from vacation. We had a great time "Escaping Our Ordinary" schedule by hanging out with my son's school choir at Disneyland. It was fun but boy...they wore us out! Everyday we had a schedule going from 7a-11p. I'm too old for that kind of day.
Big thanks also to everyone that came out to Red White & Boom this past weekend. So much fun! I love summer. We definitely stay busy here at Mix 93.3. How do you "Escape the Ordinary"? Share your stories with me.

This week I get to "Escape the Ordinary" with a vacation. We are taking my son, Chase on his school choir trip out to California. They get to sing at Disneyland and several other theme parks in the area. We will also get to visit with family. What big plans do you have for this summer?

Boy! I am glad to be back in KC. Last Thursday I "Escaped my ordinary" schedule by driving to NV with my mom. She is moving there and I didn't want her to drive alone. We had a blast but I am tired. We arrived in Henderson, NV around 11am on Saturday and by 11am Sunday I was at the airport waiting to fly home. I wish I had more time with my brother and his family but I also missed my own family here at home.
This week I will be napping a lot to catch up. :)

I am so excited! This is the last week of school for my boys. I will definitely be escaping my ordinary schedule after this Wednesday. I will be taking the kids to the pool, to the movies, to Legoland and theaquarium. I know it will take a lot of energy to keep up with them but I am really looking forward to it.

Happy Monday! Did you have a great Mother's day? I am so blessed. I love spending time with my two boys, Chase and Christian. Yesterday I spent the day with my family. Tonight I am having some girl time. I am "escaping my ordinary" schedule of making dinner and doing homework. Instead I am having girl time with friends. We are going to see the Mix 93.3 advanced screening of "What to Expect When You are Expecting". I can't wait! It is nice to change things up...but I will be tired Tuesday morning. :)

Hello! How is your week going so far? I have been changing up my ordinary routine by hanging out with my mother in law. She is visiting from Oklahoma City. We have been all over town. She loved the new Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland at Crown Center, the new casino at The Legends, and we took her to see The Avengers at the AMC Mainstreet. What a week. I am actually ready to do nothing. :)

Okay, so it's a new week and a new month. I have to change things up and "Escape the Ordinary" when it comes to my daily grind. I am always talking about training for a 5K but then I never do it. I even have a treadmill in my house but the kids use it for furniture when they watch TV. It's sad. I am going to change things up starting this week and get off of my lazy "behind".
