LINDSAY LOHAN reportedly made a friend of hers beat PARIS HILTON'S brother BARRON to a pulp, after she heard Barron was talking trash about her. Police were called but Lindsay left before they showed up. Barron posted a picture of his facial injuries online, and Paris commented, quote, "They both will pay for what they did. No one [effs] with my family and gets away with it!!"
SUSAN BOYLE was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, which is a form of autism. But she also has an above-average IQ. She says, quote, "I have always known that I have had an unfair label put upon me. NBC's "Sound of Music Live!" special attracted 18.5 million viewers . . . but judging by the shots it has taken on social media, a lot of people thought it was a disaster. CARRIE UNDERWOOD responded to the haters by Tweeting, quote, "Mean people need Jesus. They will be in my prayers tonight."

The death of South African icon Nelson Mandela is calling to mind the just-released movie about Mandela's life, "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom," starring British actor Idris Elba.
In a statement released on the day of Mandela's passing Thursday, Elba called it an honor to portray a man who "defied odds, broke down barriers and championed human rights before the eyes of the world." Morgan Freeman, who also portrayed Mandela in the movie "Invictus," also released a statement saying "the world lost one of the true giants of the past century."
Bono shared a story that not many people know:
Sources say KRISTEN STEWART has switched from Team Edward to Team Jacob in real life. In other words, she's now dating the other member of her "Twilight" love triangle, TAYLOR LAUTNER. Witnesses supposedly saw Taylor sneaking out of Kristen's house early Wednesday morning.
Are ASHTON KUTCHER and MILA KUNIS fighting over a prenup? A source says, quote, "She's royally insulted because she stood patiently by his side throughout his fight with Demi. They're both so bullheaded, and neither is budging. This money battle is threatening to wreck their romance."
Two men in California could be facing charges of felony grand theft and tampering after they allegedly stole parts of the car "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker died in this past weekend. According to CNN, police say the suspects took the wrecked Porsche's T-top roof panel late Saturday night while the truck the car was being transported on was stopped at a traffic light. Authorities later arrested 18-year-old Jameson Witty and recovered the stolen part. The second suspect is reportedly making arrangements to turn himself in, and investigators have asked the district attorney to consider charging both men with felony grand theft and tampering.
Amanda Bynes is leaving a treatment facility but she failed to show up for a court hearing for her bong-tossing case in New York City Thursday. The judge apparently decided to cut her a little slack and reschedule the hearing for January 10th. According to the "New York Post," a lawyer for the troubled actress explained to the judge that Bynes had recently been released to the custody of her parents after spending several months in a Malibu facility for mental illness. The prosecutor reportedly also refrained from pushing for an arrest for the no-show, indicating that both sides were close to a plea bargain.
Bynes is charged with reckless endangerment, attempted evidence tampering and marijuana possession for a bizarre incident on May 23rd in which she allegedly threw a bong from the window of her 36th floor apartment in New York City. The actress also has a DUI case to address on the West Coast where a Los Angeles-area judge recently ruled her competent to stand trial.
LeBron James is heading to the movies. The NBA star is set to make his acting debut in a role that's not exactly a stretch for the Miami Heat big man. Deadline.com says the six-foot-eight James will play the brother of five-foot-three comedian Kevin Hart in the movie called "Ballers." Hart, who's writing the script, will play a man living in the shadows of his NBA superstar brother, who finally gets a chance to prove himself at a fantasy basketball camp in Miami.
The Twitterverse is sounding off on "The Sound of Music Live." Some good, some bad but it was definitely one of the top trending topics last night during the live 3 hour NBC event.
The new Christian Bale movie "Out of the Furnace" hits theaters today. It also stars Casey Affleck and Woody Harrelson.
The nominees for next year's Grammy awards are set to be announced tonight during a live one-hour concert special on CBS. Katy Perry, Taylor Swift Lorde, Robin Thicke, Miguel and Keith Urban are all set to perform.
The L.A. County Coroner released PAUL WALKER'S cause of death yesterday. He died from injuries suffered in the crash, AND from the car fire. The driver, Roger Rodas, died on impact. Their deaths were ruled an accident, and authorities say they were going at least DOUBLE the posted 45 mile-per-hour speed limit. It's not known if any mechanical problems led to the crash.
Meanwhile… We found out this week that Paul Walker once bought an engagement ring for a soldier to give to his wife. But that isn't even the whole story. The couple he bought the ring for NEVER KNEW it was him, until now. Their names are Kristen and Kyle Upham.
The story only came out because a clerk in the jewelry store came forward after Paul died. Her name is Irene King, and she worked for Bailey, Banks and Biddle in Santa Barbara, California, back in 2004 when the Uphams went shopping for a ring.
The couple says Paul talked to them and found out Kyle had just come back from Iraq. They left without buying a ring that day, but the next day they were called back to the store, and someone handed them the ring and told them it was paid for. But Paul had left instructions not to give out his name.
Here's a news report from CBS2 in Los Angeles, including comments from Irene King about how Paul Walker ended up buying the ring for the Uphams:
Here are a few words from the wife, Kristen:

Celebrity Hook Up Rumors:
There's talk that ORLANDO BLOOM is having his way with LIV TYLER. They've been friends for years, and starred in the "Lord of the Rings" movies together. And sources say they "got cozy" backstage at a Broadway show recently . . . quote, "They were playfully tickling, gazing into each other's eyes and holding hands."
LINDSAY LOHAN is denying reports that she is hooking up with LIAM NEESON'S son Michael. She's 27 and he's 18. Sources say they were partying at a club on Friday night, and at one point they went hand-in-hand into the women's bathroom.
"Us Weekly" claims LIAM HEMSWORTH wants MILEY CYRUS back, and they've been secretly meeting up and talking. But Miley is having doubts . . . quote, "She's confused about how she feels."
Meanwhile…"Time" magazine can't seem to make up its mind on Miley Cyrus' style evolution this year. The singer's flesh-colored latex bikini from the MTV Video Music Awards earned her the number one spot on the magazine's annual worst dressed list. But Miley also ended up on the Best Dressed list as well, when she went classy in an emerald gown to present Marc Jacobs with an award at the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars gala.
