TERESA'S TABLOID TRASH 4/16/14

Fans are not giving Miley Cyrus a break after cancelling her KC concert last night at the Sprint Center. Haters are calling her all sorts of horrible things even though she was hospitalized due to a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics. It probably didn't help that she said Kansas in her tweet even though the concert was in Missouri.

"Kansas I promise Im as as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel sh***ier than I already do," she tweeted. "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me"

She started tweeting again early this morning saying, "the hospital is sayin i wont b released today (sad kitty face) therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control." Miley fans can receive refunds. The shows are not being rescheduled at this time.

Stephen Colbert is returning to David Letterman's "Late Show" as a guest next week. It will mark his first appearance on the show since he was announced as Letterman's replacement last Thursday.

Meanwhile…CHELSEA HANDLER posted a photo, of herself holding some papers with the CBS logo on them, and mentioned something about a "business meeting". That made people think she was in talks to take over for CRAIG FERGUSON after his contract is up this summer.

But a spokesperson for CBS says, quote, "There are no discussions with Chelsea Handler regarding the network's 12:30 late night broadcast. Her meeting with CBS yesterday was a general meeting with our syndication [division]."

George Brett finally got to meet Lorde! He told TMZ Sports yesterday that Lorde's people reached out to him and asked if he would like to hang with the "Royals" singer before her concert in Vegas last night. Brett says he immediately accepted the invitation -- and says he's really excited to meet her. Lorde has previously stated that she was inspired to write the song after seeing an image of Brett in National Geographic wearing his Kansas City Royals uniform. Brett was invited to meet up with Lorde when she recently played in KC at The Midland but he had scheduling conflicts -- so he sent her a few thank-you gifts in his place ... including an autographed #5 jersey.

Here is the update from MLB:

"And now you're Royal. meets icon George Brett."

WILL FERRELL and JOHN C. REILLY are teaming up again for "Border Guards", about two guys who accidentally get stranded in Mexico while trying to protect the border. They previously teamed up for "Step Brothers" and "Talladega Nights".

PAUL WALKER'S younger brothers have been hired to serve as stand-ins for him in "Fast & Furious 7". The producers say, quote, "Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too."

Gamers playing "Call of Duty: Ghosts" will soon be able to Snoopify their gameplay. Snoop Dogg is lending his voice to the game in an upcoming voice pack available in multiplayer mode. Once installed, Snoop's unique voice will call out players' killstreaks as well as enemy activity. He will also provide commentary as players navigate the battlefield. Much of Snoop's dialogue was penned by "Call of Duty" writers, but he says they understood his "flavor" and allowed him to "put a little Snoopism" on top of it. Snoop's voice pack will cost just under three-dollars and will be available on April 22nd.

TERESA'S TABLOID TRASH 4/15/14

Cody Simpson has been voted off "Dancing With The Stars." The pop singer and his partner Witney Carson got the boot on Monday night, based on America's votes from the past two weeks of competition. The pair seemed surprised to be going home just five weeks into the season. Meanwhile, JAMES MASLOW got the season's first perfect score, with a contemporary dance to the Adele Dazeem classic, "Let It Go".

Sunday's seventh season premiere of "Mad Men" disappointed in the ratings. Around 2.3 million people tuned in, which was the show's lowest season premiere since Season Two opened to 2.1 million viewers in 2008. "Mad Men" had some tough competition going into Sunday night's rating race with the 2014 MTV Movie Awards in play and a "Game Of Thrones" episode shocker on HBO, which drew an impressive six-point-three-million viewers.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has set his first arena-headlining tour of North America. NICK CARTER got married on Saturday. Fellow Backstreet Boys AJ McLean, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell were there.

Gwen Stefani turned back time by teaming up with Pharrell for "Hollaback Girl."

TERESA'S TABLOID TRASH 4/11/14

CBS didn't waste any time in announcing DAVID LETTERMAN'S replacement. STEPHEN COLBERT will take over "The Late Show" sometime next year, although there's no specific timetable yet.

While wishing him the best in his move to network television, Comedy Central said Thursday the comedian's political satire series, "The Colbert Report" would end in eight months. Colbert is also parting ways with his ultra right wing talk show host character from the series. He tells "The New York Times" he won't be doing the "Late Show" in character, so everyone will get to find out how much of the character was actually him. There's still no word on Comedy Central's plans, if any, to replace "The Colbert Report."

It was just announced that Drake is going to host this year's ESPY awards, which won't air until July.

Music fans will be flocking to the desert this weekend. The sold-out Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is taking over the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, starting today with a lineup of artists led by the recently-reunited OutKast. Muse and Arcade Fire are set to headline Saturday and Sunday night, respectively, while the fest's multiple stages will also include performances from Beck, Queens of the Stone Age, the Replacements, Skrillex, Lorde, and more. Anyone who can't make it out to Indio can catch many of this weekend's sets streaming live at YouTube.com/Coachella.

Ed Sheeran is set to introduce his new music to American fans in a big way this weekend - as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live." He'll perform on the NBC sketch show, days after dropping his latest single. It will be Ed's first time dropping by "SNL," and also his first time playing the new Pharrell Williams-produced track "Sing" on television. The Grammy-nominated Brit will be joining host Seth Rogen for the episode. The appearance also comes ahead of the release of Ed's much-anticipated next album "Multiply," which drops on June 23rd.

NEW IN THEATERS THIS WEEKEND:

"Draft Day" Kevin Costner

Rio 2

Oculus
