TERESA'S TABLOID TRASH 1/5/15

Longtime ESPN anchor Stuart Scott is being mourned, after losing his fight with cancer at the age of 49. Since his death yesterday morning, Scott is being remembered through an outpouring of online tributes by athletes, colleagues and fans. ESPN notes at its Connecticut studio, among a wall of famous catchphrases, nine of them are attributed to Stuart. They include "Boo-Yah!" and "As cool as the other side of the pillow."

The final installment in the blockbuster fantasy "Hobbit" trilogy is the winner for a third straight weekend at the movie box office. "The Battle of the Five Armies" has grossed more than 220-million dollars since opening the week before Christmas.

Freedom is winding down for "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice. The Bravo reality star is expected to report to a prison camp in Danbury, Connecticut today to begin a 15-month prison sentence on fraud charges. The facility is reportedly the same prison that inspired the hit Netflix series "Orange Is The New Black." Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice were both convicted on multiple counts of fraud last year. Joe will begin his 41-month sentence after Teresa is released from prison.

Reality romance is in the making again on the 19th season of "The Bachelor," premiering tonight on ABC. Iowa farmer Chris Soules, who also happens to be a wealthy businessman, is the love-seeking bachelor this go-around and he's got 30 bachelorettes to begin to choose from in the three-hour season premiere.
